Regional information

Winter: Situated at the border of the Northern and Southern Alps, near to the Vanoise and the Ecrins National Parks, and at the foot of the famous col du Galibier, Valloire spreads its multiple charms between 1400 m and 1800 m. The ski area of Valloire is linked to that of Valmeinier, and offers 150 km of pistes for all levels of skiers on 4 massifs equipped with a large range of ski lifts and 266 snow canons ensuring comfortable skiing from December up to the end of April, in an enchanting setting. The large and well-adapted pistes enable snowboarding and all varieties of snow sports: Skwal, telemark, monoski, carving... 25 km of cross-country skiing routes. Fans of walking, snow-shoeing and free riders will take pleasure in discovering the superb domain of Valloire-Valmeinier. To discover : the international ice and snow sculpture competition organised each year at Valloire, where during 3 days and 3 nights enormous blocks of snow of 4 m x 4 m are brought to life by sculptors from all over the world...an unmissable event! The great Galibier chase: sleigh dog meet on the slopes of the Galibier other activities : Gym, ice rink, bowling, aero-club, centre for culture and entertainment, auditorium, Baroque circuit, farms, Ulm, Para-gliding, hiking in the Alps, adventure park.... Summer: The traditional village of Valloire presents its many charms. On the banks of the river Arc, Valloire climbs to an altidude of more than 3500 m. With its mountain lakes, majestic forests and alpine valleys facing the impressive peaks of the Grand Galibier, everyone will discover the beauty of the land at their own pace. Numerous sport and cultural activities are offered: 135 km of hiking trails and 12 mountain biking trails, via ferrata, climbing, excursions... At the foot of the mythological Col du Galibier, Valloire takes pride in its beautiful mountains: the strange Aiguilles d'Arves, the Cerces with its majestic ibex, the Thabor peaks and all the nearest national parks of the Ecrins and the Vanoise. Not to miss: the festivals organised every weekend in the village and the bike ride "Le Tour de France"!

Accommodation

The residence includes an indoor heated pool and hydro-massaging jets, sauna, Turkish bath, a large lobby/breakfast room, lounge area with fireplace, private parking spaces, 1 phone point per chalet, satellite television. Close by : all shops, restaurants, bars& Direct access to the pistes (by the Crêt de la Brive cable car 200 m away). The Residence is made up of 4 chalets of approximately 20 lodges (25 - 65 m²), well exposed with uninterrupted views. Each lodge has a balcony, living room with sofa-bed, kitchenette with dishwasher, 4 hotplates, a microwave oven, a fridge-freezer, bathroom and/or shower with heated towel rail , WC, and a ski locker. Type BCQ: Appartment for 7 persons (46m2) some with mezzanine. It has a living room with sofa bed or pull-out beds, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed, bathroom with separate toilet. Pets are allowed. Free access to swimming pool with hydromassaging jets, sauna and Turkish bath.
